I've decided I'm going to try and undertake making a scrapbook for my lj. Hopefully I'll be able to do it and make it pretty, but we shan't know until 2011. I'd like to remember all of 2010 and this will be a good way to do it.

Sad news first, I missed seeing Motion City Soundtrack & This Providence on Friday due to the blizzard the east coast received. Me and two of my friends were going to drive to see them in concert, but with the snowstorm, we didn't think it was a good idea although I was really upset because I absolutely love both of them. Around 11:30 pm last night, I heard an accident outside of my window. It didn't look bad, the two cars just hit the corners of each other, but it was bad enough to make a sound. I think it was a sign saying it was a good idea to stay here.
I'm determined to go sledding before it all melts. Last year we took trays from the cafe and painted them with nail polish and used them as sleds, but this year our cafe has gone tray-less so now I don't know what I'm going to use for a sled. Someone said they saw a bunch of people using the large plastic containers and using them as sleds. I might try it and see how that goes.
My door, including the Tri Sigma tokens I got
on Bid day/for the rest of the week:
the sailboat, the skull, the Carebear, and the chicken =)
On the bright side, I'm currently pledging ΣΣΣ. My pledge class is the irresistible iotas. They're are 19 of us "new members" (since we're technically not supposed to be called pledges) and they're all really awesome. Today we were trying to figure out who our big sisters are while we were making gifts for all of the sisters. I learned at dinner that starting Monday we get little gifts and clues about our big until Friday night when they're actually revealed. I'm really glad I joined because I never would have met these awesome girls. And as it turns out, two of them actually watch Skins, and one watches Misfits as well! We had a bit of a discussion about Skins today at dinner and it was nice being able to talk to someone about it and it was nice because I hadn't really connected with her before so it gave us something in common, so thank you television!
I really must post pictures of my dorm (actually it's a house converted into dorm-type rooms). It's really bright and lovely, even if it's a bit smaller than my room last year. The only thing I miss is not having my friends on the same floor and being able to go visit them without freezing walking down Main Street or across campus to the actual dorms.
( finals week pictures! )
I don't know if any of you have seen Alice, Syfy's updated Alice in Wonderland, but I totally loved it. I figured I would since I liked Oz. But because of Alice, and Hatter, I've totally fallen in love with Andrew Lee Potts. And now I've been watching Primeval since he's in that. I'm terrible at not finding new shows to watch. Oh well...I love it all.

I'm currently watching Valkyrie. It's an "historical thriller" according to wiki & imdb but since everyone knows that Hitler didn't die until he killed himself, the movie isn't that much of a thriller. I need to stop watching movies on my laptop and start renting them so I can have the subtitles on and know what's going on in the movie. It probably doesn't help that I do other things (like lj, spider solitaire, etc) while watching movies also. Oh well.
It was my mom's birthday on Tuesday and me and my sister planned a mini-surprise birthday party for her (in our house) and so since Saturday I've been cleaning our house like crazy since she hates having people over when our house is "dirty" (it's not dirty dirty, just a little unorganized since five people live here, it's kind of to be expected, but whatev). Monday was spent shopping for her, and Tuesday I cleaned and baked a most awesome cake. I'll have to post some pictures. She was really surprised when she walked into our kitchen and we had the cake, presents, her aunt, her cousin, my sister's best friend (who's like part of our family), and us (her immediate family, of course). She liked everything and was really happy and so everything was worth it.
Unfortunately my room is a complete disaster. I don't even know where to begin or how I'm going to move stuff out of my room to go back to UC. My mother's been making homemade dinners since yesterday and will continue to do so until I leave for college. I think she's trying to a) fatten me up and b) try to win me over with her delicious food so I stay home and don't leave.
I'm trying to write a little one-shot for every day at
cottondays. It's an inspiration community and I'm trying to write more, or just forcing myself to write and get used to it since I'm taking Biology 201(?) in two weeks and we have to write biology papers which I am really not looking forward to. It's going to be awful.

I'm full-swing in my Cobra Starship love. Hot Mess came out on Tuesday and I really like it. I just really love CS. Hopefully, I'll be able to see them in Washington DC with my friend, but none of the details have been worked out yet. They're going on tour with Boys Like Girls after this tour and I want to see them there too. You can never have too much CS. Plus, Vicky T is my idol.
The title today is my favorite line from "Pete Wentz Is the Only Reason We're Famous".
I watched Push on Monday night and I absolutely loved it. It was so good and it's definitely one of my favorite movies. Dakota Fanning and Chris Evans were so good in it. This is the first movie I've ever seen with Camilla Belle and I wasn't impressed. Her character Kira is supposed to be in love with Nick but they have absolutely no chemistry. None. Cassie (Dakota) and Nick (Chris) have waaaay more chemistry.
How many of you have a Twitter? I got one a couple of weeks ago (me), and I'd love to follow you and see what you're up to. I love posting pictures on mine. It's going to replace my facebook since I've gotten really tired of it. Plus my friends always post crap on my wall (like "hey how are you? how's your summer?") when they could easily send me a text since they all have my number. Why am I paying for a phone if it's not being used? Facebook just annoys me to no end now.
I really need to clean up my room now. I'm heading back to UC soon and I can't stand the mess anymore.

So I was browsing through my communities and I saw an icon post in
skinsfans and I clicked on the link. It led me to this post by
lipstickxmalice in
disco_icons.
I was browsing through the icon post and I saw a Twilight (Rosalie/Emmett) icon that kinda looked familiar. I shrugged it off, it's one of the few pictures of them together. But then there was a Rosalie icon that looked like it was part of a Rosalie banner I had made. Again, coincidence. Then I saw a Chris/Jal icon with a line between them and it just struck me that it wasn't her work. I checked mine against hers, and it looks like she just cropped my banner to make it into an icon. But then I saw a Cassie icon and it was taken from my Cassie banner (that was also my header for a long time) and I was so angry. I love that Cassie banner that I made. It's the first thing that I've ever been really proud of and it took me forever to hide the texture so it wasn't over her face&hair. I couldn't believe it. I still can't.
But maybe it's all in my head. But I'll let you decide. Maybe (hopefully?) it's just in my head.
( COMPARE! (my graphics are just a bit big) )
All mine were posted here on July 22nd. She posted hers today. And actually the ones she took I've had on my hardrive since April/May.
I don't know what I should do though. Should I let it go? Confront her about it?
What do you guys think? (And most importantly does it really look like she took mine and altered them a little or am I crazy?)
(At least I get to use an angry moodthemfor once though XD)

Dear Pat (Manager of the F-wood Pool),
You're an awful manager. You have no idea how much I dislike you and how little I think of you. You have one of the easiest jobs: sit at the window and take season passes/money and check the ph&chlorine of the pool. Yet, this is still too much to ask of you so you resort to walking around aimlessly, smoking constantly, inviting your friends to the pool and hanging out with them, playing with your iPhone (and oh yea, just 'cause you have one, doesn't make you cool), and taking trips to Turkey Hill. Also you make us go more chairs than is actually needed because you don't like when we're just sitting around. But just so you know, us "just sitting around" is a break and we actually need them after sitting in the hot sun for 30+ minutes at a time. You made Emily clean out the dead mouse from the filter today, which is a) gross and b) incredibly rude because she was supposed to be watching the baby pool and you were just playing on your phone. Again. Also, on top of your behavior at the pool itself, you've scheduled me to work every weekend since the pool opened. And I'm supposed to work this Saturday when I specifically e-mailed you all the dates I couldn't work in May, and I know I had this Saturday written down.
All in all, start doing your job.
(And I can kinda see why you're not married anymore).
-Me (a very agitated lifeguard who could do a much better job managing than you)
Dear Ryan Ross and Jon Walker,
I still refuse to accept that you're leaving Panic! At the Disco (yes, I still use the !. It looks cooler). Please realize that this is a mistake and start groveling for your positions back; especially because Aaron told me that your third cd supposedly sounds more like your first one which I personally liked waaaay more than Pretty. Odd. I hope you're starting to realize what you've done now. I'm willing to chalk this up to a hacker and a bad practical joke if you are.

Dear Cobra Starship,
I adore you all; especially you, Vicky T. You are my idol. I can't wait for your new album and I'm so glad you finally have a song on the radio! It was on B104 (I think) today at the pool and I sang along and it made my torturous day a little better. I am sorry to say, however, that I don't think I'll be able to see you on your Hot Mess Across the US Tour. But this is also partially your fault for not having one single show in Pennsylvania. What gives?
I'm also really enjoying your cobra cam tv. They're all really funny although You're Not Asian is still the one thing that can bring a smile to my face no matter what.
Fangs Up!

Dear Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince,
I 'm very sorry that life has prevented me from seeing you yet. Although I'm not sure what's up with this IMAX 3-D deal. Is the whole thing in 3d? Or just the first 12 minutes? And why is it only in 3d in NY& LA (and other big cities) now while the other cities (*coughReading*cough) have to wait to show the 3d version until July 29th?? This is very unfair. I can't decide whether I should just see it now or wait for the 3d and imax.

On Thursday I was so happy because I got my Sims 3 game. I've been waiting for it to come out since I learned they were making a new one. I don't know what it is about the game, but I love playing it.
Friday I saw Transformers II: Revenge of the Fallen. I have to say that I really enjoyed it. The beginning scenes were hilarious, especially the ones that included the mother. The action scenes were good too. I didn't get bored with them after the first two like I usually do in action movies. I have to say that I love the cars that they use. Especially Bumblebee/Camaro. When the first movie came out everyone in my family wanted to get one and I definitley think we should =D
I was driving in the car yesterday with my mom and sister and my mom said that Taylor Swift's new single sounds like Saving Jane's song. Later yesterday Hanna (my sister) said that she heard Taylor's song and that it does sound like Saving Jane's. Now I didn't listen to the song, but
Saving Jane's Lyrics:
"She is the prom queen I'm in the marching band
She is a cheerleader I'm sitting in the stands
She gets the top bunk I'm sleeping on the floor
She's Miss America and I'm just the girl next door"
Taylor Swift's Lyrics:
"But she wears short skirts
I wear T-shirts
She's cheer captain
And I'm in the bleachers
Dreaming about the day when you wake up
And find what you're looking for has been here the whole time"
You can take from this what you want. But whatever you do, I reccomend seeing Transformers II. It's so worth it.
(And I saw CB & Leighton Meester on It's On With Alexa Chung and she is not that great as a host. I would like to know who made her host.)

- The bolded lyrics are the same. The words are different, but according to my college changing a couple words is plagiarism. We would get kicked out of school for that.
- The comparison of the popular girl to the singer who is not popular (although in the SJ video there's an actress portraying the unpopular girl but the singer is also alone singing so she is also 'unpopular.') The popular girl is also brunette which contrasts the blonde singers.
- Saving Jane's song (and first cd) is entitled Girl Next Door. I just watched Taylor's video and she is literally the girl next door.
- Also, Taylor is in the marching band in the video, as in Saving Jane's videos + lyrics. And in both videos there's a game going on where the popular girl is cheering and you see the unpopular girl in the bleachers in their band uniforms.
- Also, both videos end with prom scenes. In Taylor's video she gets (steals) the boy, and in SJ's video you see them in the limo after prom and the girl steals the tiara from the prom queen.
You can take from this what you want. But whatever you do, I reccomend seeing Transformers II. It's so worth it.

I had a little movie marathon today. I watched Friday the 13th (2009), Wanted, & 100 Feet and I'm going to watch Hotel Rwanda. I basically watched Friday for Jared Padalecki. He's so gorgeous. And while I was watching it, all I could think was: Sam Winchester would have no problem with Jason.
It stormed on and off all day today. It was supposed to storm like this tomorrow but I guess it came a day early so now I'll have to work tomorrow. I haven't really worked that much this summer since every day I'm supposed to lifeguard it storms. I did save someone though this summer. I saved a little girl who wandered where she couldn't stand and no one was with her/watching her .This is my third year at the pool and it's only the first time I've ever had to jump into the water and get someone out. There have been a couple of saves this year (and it's not even the end of June!), whereas the last two years we've only saved 1 or 2 people. And the thing is, the people/kids that we're saving aren't even from the community that our pool's in. They're from the closest city and yes I know they have a pool there, more than one, but they decide to come to our pool so we have to yell and save them. It's getting a bit ridiculous.
I've been listening to This Providence over and over since they're coming to Crock Rock July 1st and I'm going to see them! I am so excited. I've liked them for years now, but they never came to PA (that I knew of) so I could see them. I've also been listening to Kings of Leon's more popular songs since my mom and sister both like them so they're deemed "car appropriate" & can be played when we're in the car. The three of us have semi-different taste in music and my mom likes music that she knows to be played in the car.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!
I have to admit, I never realized how big St. Patty's day was...but all of that is probably because now I'm in college and everyone's always looking for an excuse to drink. It was kind of cool going to Wismer (our "student restaurant") and seeing lots of people wearing green. I guess I'm just a sucker for people getting together and doing the same thing (even if it is for St. Patty's Day). I wore my green shirt today =)
On Saturday we went to the AT&T store to get my brother a cell phone, but we all ended up getting a new cell phone. I can honestly say I wasn't expecting to get a new one. You have to understand that my last cell phone (& my first "real" one) I got for Christmas three years ago, it came in a bright orange box (it was still Cingular then) and it was the brand-new Motorola Rokr E1 and I loved it. I still love it though, although I might love it a bit more if the iTunes and games hadn't mysteriously stopped working last March and if when someone called me I could answer the phone without having it freeze on my. I've been adjusting to my new phone which is entirely touch-screen and more high-tech than my old one lol. (Btw, I got the Samsung Eternity. It's realllllly nice. And it takes awesome pictures, much better than my old phone.)
Today I have done absolutely nothing. I finished watching The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, went to the gym, and did our interview for a special-interest housing for next year (and I went to the two classes I had today). Other than those things, I've been a complete bum. Somedays I just have no motivation whatsoever.
I also realized that you guys have no idea what I look like (at least I don't think you do). I could be some crazy old man (or woman) pretending to be a college student. I promise I'm not though =D And I've got the pictures to prove it! lol
( under a cut so it doesn't mess with coding )

I've really enjoyed my spring break. I didn't really do anything exciting but it was definitely nice to be able to sleep and not have to wake up for class at 8.
One of the things that I have done over break, is finish watching all the episodes of Supernatural. I started watching it two Mondays ago and was done by this Monday or Tuesday. One week. (So I pretty much need to get a life and stop watching tv, y/y?) But seriously, I love it. It doesn't hurt that Jensen and Jared are totally hot. I actually started watching Supernatural when it came on (back when it was still the WB, woahh) but I stopped watching after about 5 episodes. Dumb, I know, but I think I've definitely made up for it now.
Yesterday I me and my sister went skateboarding. I haven't gone skateboarding for like 2 or 3 years, so it was almost like beginning again. My sister has a nice Bam skateboard and I use my brother's skateboard (that he never used and it was a present and it was premade; pretty much means it's crappy and doesn't go very well). I have my own deck (the actual skateboard part) and this is what it looks like:
I love it, but I haven't got the trucks, wheel, bearing, or grip tape that I need to have a fully assembled skateboard. I don't even have a skateboarding helmet. Tomorrow I believe I'm going to buy a helmet. I like skateboarding but I'm always a little nervous because there's nothing to hold onto, it's just this little board that controls whether you're in the air or on the ground. I only fell once yesterday and that's only because my sister was trying to get me to do a trick and didn't hold onto me very well. I ended up on my back but I wasn't hurt, thankfully. I don't need a cast on my leg, especially with school starting again and me living on the third floor of the dorm.
I hope that you are all doing well, my dear f-list. I know I've been MIA since like January but I've been working harder this semester to keep my grades up (and it's been working). I've actually begun using the library as a place to do work. It's nice but still kinda strange. Anyways, I'm going to try to comment and keep up with you guys more because I loveeeee you all!
And just one more random, funny thing:
Last Friday (or Saturday) night my family was having one of our strange conversations and somehow my brother brought up the "camel toe." (He's only in 8th grade. I didn't know what it was til like 10th =/) My mom didn't know what it was and none of us wanted to explain so my sister busted out the laptop and looked it up on urbandictionary.com. My mom then proceeded to read the definition out loud. A little awkward. And then she read this "My four year old turned around really fast and ran into this chick's camel toe, when he turned back around he had a hoof print on his forehead." and she burst out laughing and we all were laughing because she was laughing so hard. She said it like four times and laughed after each time she said it and I laughed so hard my stomach hurt. These are the things I miss when I'm in college =D

Really happy right now. Why so happy?
-Just watched Psych, which was awesome, as usual
-I had a Kit-Kat bar while watching Psych. So good. I haven't had one in a long time =)
-The Office & Grey's Anatomy was on last night. The Office was so funny, I loved the fight.
-I go back to Ursinus on Sunday and I finally get to see my friends who are amazing and I've missed them
-I'll get to watch Gossip Girl with my friends on Monday because I'll be back at school
-Sunday the Eagles play the Cardinals (and they better beat them!) and we're getting Pizza Hut pizza (which is so yummy!)
-And so far, I haven't gotten an e-mail or anything saying I have to have something written about the book we had to read for CIE over break, unlike some of my friends who have "blogs" (not sure what this entails) and a five-page summary to do. I'm liking my CIE teacher so far lol.

Yes, I have watched How I Met Your Mother, and yes, I have been sucked into the awesomeness that is Barney Stinson. And yes I have found a new ship in Barney/Robin. I just can't help myself! I really like the show, and I watched all four seasons this week, but the only thing is that new episodes come on when Gossip Girl is on and no matter how much I may like HIMYM it cannot compete with GG or the fun I have watching it with my friends every Monday (except this Monday 'cause it's still winter break).
The Soup's on right now! I just found it on tv. I love this show, and it's the yearly wrap-up thing. Awesome
Not much is going on right now since it's break. I'm missing UC and my friends more than I thought I would. But it's only two more weeks of school (and sleeping 'til ten) until I go back.
And I did watch Batman Begins which means I can watch The Dark Night (which I'll hopefully watch tomorrow, er, later today). It was pretty good, I'll give them that, but I have to say, my heart will always belong to Spider-Man. Sorry Batman.
